Welcome!
Welcome to the Youth and Family Training Institute’s (YFTI) Website!
The Youth and Family Training Institute (YFTI) is an organization that provides training, coaching and credentialing to those working in High Fidelity Wraparound to ensure that there is consistency, accountability and fidelity to the process. The High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) process is a team-based collaborative process for developing and implementing individualized plans for children with behavioral health challenges and their families. High Fidelity Wraparound has been standardized by the National Wraparound Initiative and is based on specific principles and phases.
Within this interactive website, readers can identify with families and youth who have been through the HFW Process. They will be able to see if their county is an early Implementer of HFW, and which populations are being served. Counties throughout Pennsylvania can locate the information necessary to bring HFW to their youth and families.
If you are already working in High Fidelity Wraparound, there are pages in this website that will assist you in obtaining information to support you in your job, while helping you communicate with others who are working in similar positions around the state. This website also addresses various opportunities for youth, family members and system partners to become involved in implementing the various aspects of HFW around the Commonwealth.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope that you find the information and activities within this website helpful.

Governor Tom Corbett has issued a proclamation making May 9 Children's Mental Health Awareness Day in Pennsylvania. In his proclamation the governor notes that "addressing the complex mental health needs of children, youth and families today is fundamental to the future of Pennsylvania." Governor Corbett goes on to "urge our commonwealth's citizens to become aware of the importance of effective and coordinated services for children and youth, to learn about the impact of trauma on child health and well-being, and to unite in an effort to increase awareness about the importance of comprehensive programs for children and youth with mental health needs and their families."
PCPA joins the governor and neighbors across Pennsylvania in celebrating Children's Mental Health Awareness Day and commends mental health professionals and workers who strive daily to meet the complex needs of children, youth, and families.
